The coach of Alianza Lima, Pablo Bengoechea, spoke, after the draw against Melgar, for the second match of the group stage of the Copa Bicentenario. The team managed to equalize the score in the last minute, so the Uruguayan admitted in the press conference the need for a striker like Mauricio Affonso.
"When Affonso was here, we only needed one striker, now we need two. The club is evaluating and we also have to consider the financial possibilities. We need players who can provide us with solutions. They have to come ready to perform immediately," Bengoechea said in the press conference.
He also spoke about the team's performance in this match. "When you have goal-scoring chances and you don't convert them, the first thing you need to work on is finishing. Sometimes you score and sometimes you miss. The important thing is to create these moments and never settle, and I think we will improve in that aspect," he added.

The Uruguayan coach also spoke about the physical condition of Kevin Quevedo and José Manzaneda. Regarding the former, he stated that he will be greatly missed in the early matches of the Clausura Tournament, as he will be suspended for the first match and will also be participating in the 2019 Pan American Games during the second match.
The team will have to travel to Juliaca to face Binacional, the current champion of the Apertura Tournament in Liga 1. This time, under the command of Bengoechea, they hope to improve their performance in the province and reach the next phase of the intermediate tournament undefeated.
