De Jong arrived in Barcelona on Thursday afternoon, where he will undergo medical tests on Friday and will be presented as a new player for the team.
Upon his arrival at El Prat airport, the Dutchman remarked: "I am very happy to be here finally. It was a dream for me as a child to play for Barça and now I am here so it's fantastic". "I'm looking forward to stepping on the Camp Nou for the first time, I'm very excited," he added.

De Jong's signing was announced last January, with a cost of 75 million euros plus 11 in variables.
This Friday, the Dutchman will sign the contract with the club for the next five seasons, until the end of 2023/2024.
