The fifth presentation of the Peruvian National Team in the 2019 Copa America, that is to say in the semi-final match against Chile, will have as the main referee the Colombian Wilmar Roldán. The news was confirmed through the competition's website.
The 39-year-old referee will be accompanied by his compatriots Alexander Guzmán and Wilmar Navaro. The Paraguayan Mario Diaz de Vivar will be the fourth referee, while the Colombian Andrés Rojas will be in charge of the VAR, assisted by Nicolás Gallo and Jhon León.
The most recent match that Wilmar Roldán refereed in the current edition of the Copa America 2019 was the Argentina-Venezuela match in the quarter-finals. The contest ended with a 2-0 victory for the 'Albiceleste' with goals from Lautaro Martínez and Giovani Lo Celso.
Wilmar Roldán was also in charge of the match between Peru and Venezuela in the first round of the group stage, which ended in a goalless draw. The Colombian was also the fourth referee in the 1-1 draw between Ecuador and Japan.
Peru and Chile, after eliminating Uruguay and Colombia on penalties respectively, will play in the second semi-final of the Copa America 2019. The match is scheduled for Wednesday, July 3 at Arena do Gremio, at 7:30 p.m. (Peruvian time).
