Atletico Madrid and PSV Eindhoven reached an agreement for one of the great figures of the Colombian national team in Russia 2018. It is Santiago Arias, the right back who has become a new player for the colchonero team after the departure of Sime Vrsaljko to Inter Milan.
It is worth remembering that Vrsaljko, a Croatian player who had a great participation in Russia 2018, was signed by the Italian team as a loan.
Santiago Arias will add his third experience in European clubs. At 26 years old, he played for Sporting Lisbon in 2011 and joined PSV in 2013. It was precisely last season where he was chosen as the best player of the season in the Eredivisie after scoring 9 goals.
"With the arrival of Santiago Arias, we incorporate a young and experienced player in Europe, with great physical potential and quality," highlighted Atletico in its statement on Tuesday after the Colombian's signing.
Were delighted to announce an agreement with @psveindhoven over the transfer of @santiagoarias13. Welcome, Santiago!

Arias is the sixth addition to Atletico Madrid, after Rodrigo Hernandez, Antonio Adan, French Thomas Lemar, Argentine Nehuen Perez, and Portuguese Gelson Martins.
