André Carrillo and Christian Ramos's transfers to the Saudi Arabian League have generated many doubts and criticisms among fans who expected to see the Peruvian national team players in a more competitive league after the 2018 World Cup.
But the Saudi Arabian League is more competitive than it seems. In addition to having several South American players (mostly Brazilians) and 20 Arab national team players, it also has 10 other players who were in the last World Cup defending colors other than 'The Eagles of the Middle East'.
There are three World Cup teams that contribute players to the Saudi Arabian League: Australia (which faced Peru), Egypt, and Tunisia. And almost all of them had minutes in the last World Cup. The names of the Peruvian national team players who seek to contribute to the growth of this league will now be added to this list.
Unfortunately for the Peruvian players, none of them will be teammates as they belong to other clubs. On the contrary, André Carrillo will have the opportunity to face an Australian who saw how the 'Culebra' scored Peru's first goal in a World Cup after 40 years: Mark Milligan.
