Totalmente eclipsed on Thursday with the completed transfer of Alisson Becker to Liverpool. Despite the initial figures that spoke of 75 M€, differentiated from the reality confirmed by Roma of 62.5 M€ fixed plus 10 M€ as a bonus, they have still made it the most expensive goalkeeper in the history of this sport, promising to be a before or after in the valuation of goalkeepers. With the Brazilian occupying the Top-1, from Fichajes.com we invite you to take a look at the top ten most expensive goalkeepers of all time.

In second place on the list we find Gianluigi Buffon, recently landed in Paris but at that time a young and promising goalkeeper of Parma at just 23 years old for which Juventus Turin didn't hesitate to pay 52.5 M€, an important amount considering the spending of other transfer windows.

In third place we find a more recent transfer. This is the case of the young Ederson Moraes (24 years old), who arrived at Manchester City last summer in exchange for 40 M€. Although there were many doubts about it, he has responded with the firmness of a veteran. Behind him is Manuel Neuer, recognized by many as the best goalkeeper in the world until his injury. The German cost Bayern Munich 30 M€ to take him from Schalke 04.

The fifth place belongs to one of the revelations of the World Cup in Russia and whose transfer was completed last summer, when he changed Sunderland for Everton in exchange for 28.5 M€. Jordan Pickford (24 years old) represents the future in goal for England, who can finally boast of having a goalkeeper worthy of their history. And if we talk about a recent novelty in goal, we also have to mention a legend, who holds the sixth place in the ranking. This is Francesco Toldo, whose transfer cost Inter Milan 26.5 M€.

In seventh place is the recent signing of Bernd Leno for Arsenal after paying 25 M€ to Bayer Leverkusen, and the Premier League also takes the medal in eighth place, with the transfer of David de Gea to Manchester United in exchange for the same amount.

Closing the table is the promising future of Alex Meret (21 years old), a recent addition to Napoli after paying 22 M€ to Udinese, and with whom he will not be able to count during the first part of the season due to his recent arm injury. Finally, in tenth place, appears Sébastien Frey, for whom Parma invested 21 M€. Who knows if Thibaut Courtois could be one of the next members of the list and push the French goalkeeper out of the Top-10.
