Some months ago, the union of Esther Grande de Bentín (EGB) and Sport Boys from Callao seemed to be one of the best ideas that both institutions could have taken for the well-being of young people seeking opportunities in soccer. However, today the story is completely different with an EGB on the verge of disappearing.

The statements of the Boys' administrator ensure that they made a bad negotiation with EGB. "I respect a lot what Jaime Noriega can express, mainly because of everything they did in these 14 years with EGB, but we made a very good merger but a bad negotiation. I assume it but I think enthusiasm won us over to not foresee that the cost was very high," said Johan Vásquez to Radio Ovación.
Furthermore, Vásquez confesses that in the pink club, they were able to take charge in the first few months, however, as the months went by, the situation became more complicated. "There were debts in the club that we had to prioritize and we couldn't continue like this," he added.
Finally, from the administration, they assured that Boys is not going through any kind of crisis and that the decision to separate from the agreement is due to an economic issue. They also remember that the team continues and there are 30 players, 15 from Boys and 15 from EGB. We have given the option for EGB players to continue with us because the brand is Boys," he concluded.
