. The first set was comfortably won by Peru after crushing Uruguay with a score of 25-12. In the second set, the national team made reception errors and practically gave away the set to Uruguay (22-25).
In the next two sets, Peru was determined to close the match, and they did. With scores of 25-10 and 25-17, Juan Diego García's team closed the match with a 3-1 victory. They will face Chile Saturday (17.00 hrs) to close the second round.
