Will Marvel release fewer movies after Avengers 4? It should be taken into account that many superheroes have disappeared after "Avengers: Infinity War" and the franchise would be left with fewer narrative alternatives for new films.
According to Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, the company plans to continue releasing three films annually.
"We have expanded to three films a year (...) to be able to make sequels to films that people have responded to, because we love making continuations with characters that people have responded to, but also to continue doing things that no one has heard of and that people say, 'Why are you doing that?' That's fun", explained Feige to CinemaBlend.
"That's how Phase One was built, how Phase Two was built, and how Phase Three is being built. Every time we announce the next year, the next two years, three years, five years, or whatever we're going to announce, there will be a lot of them (new characters) that maybe people who know, like you know, will know who they are, but the world in general will say, 'What is that? Why are they doing that?' That is definitely exciting", he added.
Feige explains that Marvel will still follow the strategy of leaving a considerable amount of time between sequels so that the protagonists appear in group films.
