The Mexican selection overcame their most difficult test in Group F of the 2018 World Cup in Russia last Sunday, after defeating Germany 1-0. But now the 'Tri' will have an unexpected rival for their second match, against South Korea: the high temperatures of Rostov-on-Don.
It turns out that the match between Mexico and South Korea, to be played at the Rostov Arena, will be played at a temperature of approximately 36° Celsius, according to the forecasts in Russia 2018.
The climatic factor can represent a significant wear and tear for the players of Mexico. For this reason, coach Juan Carlos Osorio could use his classic rotation in Russia 2018 to give minutes to the younger players with better physical condition than the experienced ones.
The truth is that the high temperatures will not only affect Mexico. In their debut in Russia 2018, the South Korea national team faced Sweden at approximately 18° Celsius in a match they would end up losing 1-0.
The good news for Mexico is that the match against South Korea has been scheduled for 6:00 pm in Moscow, so it is expected that temperatures may slightly decrease at that time of the afternoon.
