Uber podrá saber si estás ebrio al momento de solicitar el servicio

Uber seeks to determine the user's condition when requesting the service through an algorithm that evaluates their behavior and location.

Uber wants to know more than just your destination route to offer you its service. It turns out that in the United States, the app has applied for a patent to develop an artificial intelligence (AI) capable of detecting unusual behavior in passengers, such as their level of intoxication.

But how will this be possible? According to the patent application filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Uber will have an algorithm that can predict a user's state based on past travel information.

The information that the system will collect to determine if the user is intoxicated includes the typos you make when making the travel request, the accuracy with which you click on the buttons while requesting it, the speed at which you perform this whole process, as well as the time of day and place from which you request the trip.

Uber's intention with this patent is to warn drivers about your condition so that they can decide whether or not to take you. In addition, Uber may charge you more due to your state.

Do you think it's a good idea? On the one hand, they protect the integrity of the driver, but at the same time, they expose the user's condition.
