Peruvian Sebastian Ruiz demonstrated this weekend why he is considered one of the main promises of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) in our country. 'El Gallo' achieved a spectacular victory by knockout, as can be seen on YouTube.
In what was his second professional MMA fight, 20-year-old Sebastian Ruiz faced North American Josh Baker on the card of the Ring Of Combat 63 event, held in New Jersey.
In the early moments of the first round, both fighters preferred to keep their distance and take few risks. But as soon as he found an opening in his opponent's guard, Ruiz threw a powerful left kick that hit Baker's head.
Sebastian Ruiz's kick had so much force that the American fighter collapsed on the canvas. And it wasn't even necessary to connect more punches to win by knockout.
Sebastian Ruiz, who trains at Maretazo Muay Thai with Gonzalo Vallejos, had his first international fight on May 4th in Canada, where he gave a tough fight to Jesse Arnett, TKO MMA champion.
