Martin Murray has been fuming since WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders withdrew from their June 23 fight.

The withdrawal has prompted Murray to question the legitimacy of his injury.

The pair were initially set for an April 14 bout at the O2 Arena, but a hand issue saw Saunders postpone the event by two months.

However, this time around, promoter Frank Warren confirmed that the 28-year-old will again be unable to fulfil the fight, this time pulling out completely with a hamstring injury.

Murray is seemingly not convinced by the reason given for the decision. He believes Saunders is making a play to secure Canelo Alvarez or Gennady Golovkin - who are having trouble coming to a financial agreement for a fall rematch.

Saunders has been named as a frontrunner alternative by both Canelo and Golovkin - if they are unable to reach a deal with each other.

Murray has become more enraged in recent days, after spending money for two training camps with no financial reimbursement for the work.

“He’s a f****** sh*thouse. That’s all I can say about him,” Murray told Boxing News.

“He can’t intimidate me. He’s a f****** idiot. The fight’s gone now, it’s never going to happen. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. There’s no way I’d ever fall for it a third time. He’s still giving it the big ‘un now. He’s just an embarrassment, an embarrassment to the sport and just a horrible little creature.

“It cost money, two training camps abroad. It cost money, there’s everything that comes with it. There’s money it cost me potentially in sponsorships and stuff like that. There’s money that’s cost you where you’ve put stuff on hold because you’ve been doing these training camps. I’ve been training the first half of this year. I’ve got f*** all from it."
