Zinedine Zidane
Zinedine Zidane surprised everyone last Tuesday by leaving Real Madrid after winning his third consecutive Champions League. The rumors about a possible team came soon after, and of course, those related to the French National Team.
"The issue is not being considered at the moment," said the president of the French Football Federation (FFF), Noel Le Graet, when asked this Saturday about a possible appointment of Zinedine Zidane as the coach of France in the future.
"If Didier Deschamps leaves in ten years, we will see," said the French football leader in a press conference during a general assembly of the institution in Strasbourg.
"Certain circumstances are necessary, you don't become a coach just like that. The issue is not being considered at the moment. The option of Didier Deschamps is real until 2020 and beyond."
"Zidane can sign for Juventus tomorrow, we don't know. We were all surprised (by his departure from Real Madrid), me too. But if they want to create a debate between Didier and Zizou, that's not serious. We are starting a World Cup, Didier happily signed until 2020," Le Graet added.
"Zizou, what he did with Real Madrid is truly exceptional," said Le Graet. "He decided to stop, maybe he felt the pressure was strong, maybe he needed a bit of rest. That often happens to the greats under such pressure. Real Madrid is not just anything, you always have to win. He is a huge coach who will have no problem in his future," he concluded.
