The fourth round of the main Buenos Aires tournament, URBA Top 12, began. Regatas lost at home to San Martin by 17-15, and the rest of the round is currently being played with Hindú-SIC live on ESPN Extra.
Hindú 23-22 SIC (FINAL)
SIC scored an early try against Hindú, who were attacking, but with a recovered ball, Facundo Giorgiutti ran alone to score under the posts. Immediately, Alberto Miguens scored another try for SIC, which was surprising in Don Torcuato. Hindú quickly responded with a try from Belisario Agulla, and Santiago Fernández successfully converted the try and kicked a penalty a few minutes later to narrow the gap in the score. In the second half, Santiago Fernández managed to turn the score around with a beautiful drop goal for Hindú. Minutes later, Alberto Miguens escaped again and scored his second try of the match. On the other hand, Federico Graglia accelerated for Hindú and, on contact, managed to score a conversion by Fernández. At the end, Santiago Fernández performed a brilliant move. While all his teammates were asking for a pass, the fly-half scored a crucial drop goal that gave the victory to his team.
San Luis 17-11 Newman (FINAL)
San Luis broke the deadlock on the scoreboard with a try from Franco Gnecco converted by Facundo Cúcolo, who later added three more points with a penalty. Only at the 29th minute of the first half, Newman reduced the gap with a penalty from Florencio Llerena. Towards the end of the first half, Franco Gnecco visited the opposing ingoal again to leave the score at 17-3 in favor of Maristas. Two minutes into the second half, Cardenal reduced the gap with a try from Tomás Adrogué. Then, the game became stagnant and only at the 28th minute Llerena changed the score with a penalty. Finally, San Luis won 17-11.
Alumni 22-24 CASI (FINAL)
The team from San Isidro were the first to score with a try from Juan Ymaz and a conversion from Ignacio Almela. At the 31st minute, Alumni equalized thanks to a try from Juan Anderson and a kick from Lucas Frana. Towards the end of the first half, CASI extended their lead through Nicolás Cotella, going into halftime with a 14-7 advantage. Thirteen minutes into the second half, Tortuguitas turned the score around with a try from Luca Sábato and a kick from Frana. Minutes later, the same duo added seven more points for their team. However, CASI managed to score a try with Matías Pozzi, along with Almela's conversion, to be just below by the narrowest margin. In the dying moments of the match, the fly-half of the San Isidro team scored a crucial penalty that gave his team a tight 24-22 victory.
Pucará 10-36 Belgrano (FINAL)
Ignacio Favre scored the first try of the afternoon, and together with Agustín López Isnardi's conversion, they gave Belgrano a partial victory. However, three minutes later, Jonathan Marchetta reduced the score for Pucará to 7-5. In injury time, Benjamín Guayta added five more points for Virrey del Pino, and they went into halftime leading 12-5. Six minutes into the second half, Guayta scored another try to extend Belgrano's lead. Later, it was Agustín Gómez di Nardo's turn to score a try and make the score 24-5. In the middle of the second half, Pucará took advantage of the yellow cards given to Ignacio Favre and Benjamín Espinal and scored a try through Juan Delguy. However, Belgrano remained strong despite the adversity and scored again with a try from Agustín López Isnardi. At the end of the match, Facundo Camardón sealed the score, leading Belgrano to victory against Pucará with a score of 36-10.
CUBA 27-0 Lomas (FINAL)
After an uneventful first half, neither team managed to score, and they went into halftime with a score of 0-0. At the start of the second half, Lucas Romat finally broke the monotony of the scoreboard and scored a try for the Universitario team, converted by Juan Cruz González. Minutes later, Romat added two more points with his kick from two penalties. At the 35th minute, CUBA took advantage of having one more player due to Ignacio Redruello's yellow card in Lomas and extended their lead to 20-0. In injury time, Roque Pitt scored the final points of the match, securing a 27-0 victory for CUBA.
Regatas 15-17 San Martín (FINAL)
With a lot of physical intensity, Pacific started better in the first half and opened the scoring with a drop goal from Manuel Puente in the 5th minute. At the 11th minute, the visiting flanker Vozza Troglio received a yellow card. With the numerical advantage, two minutes later, the home team took advantage and subjected San Martín with their forwards, and scrum-half Marcos Joseph scored the first try. At the 20th and 35th minutes, Vega had two accessible penalties, but his attempts were off target. The one who didn't miss was Franco De Giovanni for San Martín at the 30th minute, reducing the gap with a penalty. At the end of the first half, Pacific devised a good set-piece move for Tomás Galvalisi to enter diagonally into the defense and score the try for a 11-7 partial victory before halftime. In the second half, De Giovanni missed a very accessible opportunity to score three points. At the 10th minute, Regatas scored a new try with Barrera running to the tryline. At the 28th minute, De Giovanni scored a penalty and put San Martín ahead again. A penalty from Vega at the 32nd minute gave the partial victory back to the home team, and with two minutes to go, De Giovanni scored a long penalty to once again turn the score around. In the end, Vega had two chances, and the last one hit the post and bounced off amid controversy.
