Peruvian Football Team faces Scotland
The Peruvian National Football Team will face Scotland tonight at the National Stadium in their farewell match before traveling to Europe to continue their preparation for the World Cup in Russia.
For tonight's match, the coach of the national team, Ricardo Gareca, will propose the following lineup: Carlos Cáceda as goalkeeper; Luis Advincula, Christian Ramos, Alberto Rodriguez, and Miguel Trauco in defense; Renato Tapia and Yoshimar Yotún in midfield; Christian Cueva, Edison Flores, and André Carrillo as attacking midfielders; and Jefferson Farfán as the lone striker.
It should be noted that goalkeeper Pedro Gallese is not performing at one hundred percent and will be reserved for the friendly matches in Europe.
This will be the fourth time that the Peruvian Football Team faces Scotland. As we remember, in 1972, in a friendly match in Glasgow, Peru lost 2-0. Then, in the 1978 World Cup in Argentina, Peru won 3-1 with two unforgettable goals from "Nene" Teófilo Cubillas. And in 1979, once again in Glasgow, both teams drew 1-1.
