Andrés Iniesta and his childhood team
Would Andrés Iniesta wear a Real Madrid jersey? Probably a different story would have been told, both for the midfielder and for Barcelona itself, which unknowingly made the 'Brain' support their classic rival when he was a child. This was revealed by the 34-year-old player, who has just signed with Vissel Kobe in Japan.
Before his last match wearing the blue and garnet jersey last Sunday, Iniesta gave an interview to Risto Mejide on the 'Chester' program, which will be broadcasted in two days. In that conversation, 'Don Andrés' shared and explained what made him a Madridista at some point in his life.
"My first team was Albacete because I played for Alba. Albacete came to play at Barcelona's field one day and Barcelona scored seven goals against my team. I got so angry about it that I thought Barcelona shouldn't do that to my team," revealed the manchego.
Andrés Iniesta was presented as the new player of Vissel Kobe and stated that he chose that offer because the project "excites him a lot" and because Japan "is a wonderful country," during his presentation with his new club.
"I have been lucky to receive different proposals," said Iniesta, who wanted to thank Vissel Kobe for the "confidence and unconditional faith" they have placed in him "as a player and as a person to help the team grow."
