Alexandra Grande receives the Laureles Deportivos del Perú

The name of Alexandra Grande will remain in Peruvian history forever. The karateka received the Laureles Deportivos del Perú award on Wednesday in the rank of Gran Cruz for winning the gold medal in the World Games last year.

The Peruvian, who competes in kumite -61 kg, will appear on the façade of the National Stadium in Lima, where all the famous national sportsmen who have been recognized with this award for their achievements or professional career are inscribed.

The karateka affirmed that this distinction "is the reflection of hard and honest work" and demonstrates that "there are no limits after so much training, sacrifices, and tears."

Alexandra Grande won the gold medal in the World Games in 2017 by defeating Ukrainian Anita Serogina in the final of the competition held in Wroclaw, Poland.

Grande is currently preparing to participate in the South American Games, which will be held in Cochabamba, Bolivia, where she hopes to win the gold medal, and then focus on the karate world championship to be held in Madrid.
