The technical director Antonio Mohamed has been announced as the new coach of Celta de Vigo and the Argentine could emulate what was done by Javier Aguirre, Pedro Caixinha, and Paco Jémez of taking players from Liga Bancomer to Europe.

In his first job in the Old Continent, 'Vasco' took Mexicans Manuel Vidrio and Carlos Ochoa to Osasuna. On the other hand, Caixinha coached Rangers last season and signed Mexicans Carlos Peña and Eduardo Herrera. Similarly, Paco Jémez, former coach of Cruz Azul, returned to Spain to coach Las Palmas and decided to hire Argentine Gabriel Peñalba, as well as Matías Aguirregaray.

Looking ahead to his first adventure in Spain, ESPN Digital shows you some elements of Liga Bancomer that the 'Turco' could sign:

'Ponchito', Jonathan González, Rodolfo Pizarro, and César Montes want to play in European football Imago7

Rodolfo Pizarro

He is one of the most talented players in Mexican football and many fans believed that the midfielder deserved to play in the 2018 World Cup in Russia, however, Juan Carlos Osorio, the coach of the national team, decided not to call him up. Pizarro, 24 years old, became the standout player for Chivas in the past semester and was key to the team's victory in the Concacaf Champions League. Rodolfo would be close to joining Rayados but the Guadalajara board would prioritize an offer from Europe, so Mohamed's Celta de Vigo would have great chances of signing him.

César Montes

The 21-year-old defender is one of the promises of Mexican football and despite his youth, he has significant experience in Liga Bancomer. Montes became one of Antonio Mohamed's key players during their time together at Monterrey and in the Clausura 2018, he played 16 games. Standing at 1.92 meters tall, the center-back could adapt well to Spanish football, as Diego Reyes did in the past with Real Sociedad and Espanyol.

Jonathan González

He has shown that he could become one of the stars of the Mexican National Team and it would be a great step for the midfielder to move to European football. At 19 years old, it is likely that Rayados would like to keep Jonathan for longer, but an interesting offer from Celta de Vigo could convince the Regiomontana board. A factor in González's favor is that the "Turco" knows him perfectly and it was even the Argentine who gave him the opportunity to debut in Mexican football.

Arturo Alfonso González

"Ponchito" regained his best form under Antonio Mohamed in the Clausura 2018. The midfielder had his most outstanding tournament in Mexican football, playing 18 games and scoring six goals. At 23 years old, González has shown that he is a different player and although he has had difficult moments in the past, he could move to La Liga because Mohamed knows exactly what to expect from the Mexican and how to get the best out of him.
