Cruz Azul continues in the team building phase and the fifth addition, pending official confirmation, will be Milton Caraglio, a 29-year-old forward who scored eight goals in the Clausura 2018 with Atlas.
One of the priorities of the cement team for the next season is to strengthen the forward line due to the lack of contribution from Felipe Mora and Martín Cauteruccio, who together scored seven goals in 17 matchdays of the Clausura 2018, which is why the sports management led by Ricardo Peláez has focused on finding a goal-scoring player.
Their preferred choice has been to look for a player within the local market to avoid issues such as adaptation and knowledge of the League. This is why Caraglio has become their number one option for that position.
After several days of negotiations, they have advanced to the point where Caraglio is one step away from becoming the new Celeste reinforcement for the next season, joining Ivan Marcone, Pablo Aguilar, Igor Lichnovsky, and Roberto Alvarado.
At the moment, La Máquina has not made any official signings until each of the elements passes the medical tests and signs their respective contract to be linked to the Celeste team.
