Dark Mode in Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17666
Are you bothered by the light colors of the Windows 10 explorer? If so, and if you end up with eye pain every night, we have good news for you: Microsoft has introduced a dark template in Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17666. Windows already had a dark interface (available in Settings > Personalization > Colors), but it only supported a small number of applications, and Windows Explorer (officially known as File Explorer in Windows 10) was not one of them.

The new update finally brings the dark template that users needed. However, Microsoft warns that elements of the UI may unexpectedly light up. A benefit of dark screens is that they save energy and make reading easier. Eyes don't have to strain for contrasts, and letters and symbols are easier to identify.
