School Carlos Pereyra wins multiple championships in Interjesuit Sports Games 2018
The Carlos Pereyra School in Torreón won two first places and a pair of second places in the XLVII edition of the Interjesuit Sports Games 2018, which took place at Pereyra from April 27th to 30th. Last night, the Awarding and Closing Ceremony took place.
Thanks to the formation of a competitive team in all positions and an experienced coaching staff, the Pereyra women's basketball team won the championship by defeating the Oriente Institute of Puebla with a score of 73 to 14.
The team coached by Luis Murra is composed of: Mary Ángel Verduzco, Paulina Velázquez, Daniela Ortiz, Andrea Peña, Andrea Favela, Pamela Luévanos, Irene Margarita Muñoz, Andrea Caballero, Karina Michelle Salinas, Abigail Gallegos, Lorena Jiménez, Alicia Esmeralda Hurtado, Ana Guadalupe Alvarado, Julia Luna, and María Fernanda Puentes. They were assisted by Gregorio Esparza. In the same category, Cultural from Tampico finished in second place and Oriente from Puebla in third place.

On the other hand, David Carrillo's team took first place in women's soccer by defeating the Ibero College of Tijuana with a score of 2 to 1. The goals were scored by Sofía Esquivel and Adriana González.
The team is composed of María Fernanda Alfani, Greta Olvera, Sara María Ibarra, Frida Natalia Ramírez, María Fernanda Chávez, Michael Ramírez, Luisa Fernanda Gutiérrez, Ana María Hernández, Adriana González, Sofía Esquivel, Fernanda Fernández, Isabela Campillo, Jaqueline Rubio, Andrea Aparicio, Fernanda Arzave, Jairi Sofía Díaz, Mariana de la Torre, Andrea Guevara, Valeria Limones, Lidia Margarita Valdés, and Ingrid Chávez. They are assisted by the coach Leonardo Aguilar.
Pereyra won its second consecutive championship. The second place went to Lux Institute from León and the third place to the Institute of Sciences from Guadalajara.
In men's basketball, Pereyra took second place, as well as in Rugby.
