Monterrey earned a good away draw against Tijuana in the first leg of the quarterfinals in the Mexican League Clausura 2018.

Colombian forward Dorlan Pabón opened the scoring at the 38th minute with an excellent right-footed shot.

In the second half, at the 52nd minute, José Ignacio Rivero scored the equalizer with an impressive free-kick shot.

Monterrey and Tijuana will play the second leg of the quarterfinals on Saturday at 9 p.m.

Monterrey will visit Tijuana on Wednesday (9:30 p.m. LIVE ONLINE on Univision Deportes Network) at the Estadio Caliente for the first leg of the quarterfinals in the Mexican League Clausura.

Monterrey will look to confirm their favoritism in the series against Tijuana. The Rayados finished the season with a six-game unbeaten streak and ended in third place.
