Goyito Perez demonstrated last weekend that leaving the UFC was not a setback for his career, after achieving an impressive technical knockout victory in his debut in the Mexican promoter Combate Americas, as seen in this YouTube video.

In what was the main event of the Combate Estrellas 2 event, organized by Combate Americas, Goyito Perez faced DJ Fuentes, a fighter who had defeated him by submission in May 2010.

However, Goyito Perez showed that he is at his best moment at 28 years old. The Mexican fighter, who competes in the bantamweight division (61 kilograms), dominated Fuentes and put him to sleep during the third round, as seen on YouTube.

After connecting a brutal right punch, Goyito Perez left Fuentes in a daze, who then showed no response to the powerful onslaught of the Monterrey fighter. That's how the referee ended the fight, giving the former UFC fighter the victory by technical knockout.

"I feel stronger and faster than ever. I believe in Combate Americas, in the evolution it has had, in how it is helping the Hispanic market grow. That's my market and where I want to be," said Goyito Perez after his victory.
