Apple offers free battery replacement for certain MacBook Pro models
Apple announced that it will provide free battery replacements worldwide for a limited number of MacBook Pro models. The decision was made after analyzing several reports of the expansion of the built-in battery in some 13-inch MacBook Pro models without touch bars. Apple clarified that this does not pose a safety issue for users. The affected units were manufactured between October 2016 and October 2017, although the exact number of affected devices was not specified. This is not the first time that Apple has faced criticism regarding its batteries. In late 2017, it was confirmed that the operating system of iPhone 6, iPhone 6S, and iPhone SE models slowed down performance to deal with older batteries.
