MEXICO -- Lobos BUAP becomes the sixth team to be relegated from the First Division after one year in the history of short tournaments in Mexican soccer.

The team from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla said goodbye to the top category after being defeated 4-0, one match before the end of the regular Clausura 2018 tournament.

Under the technical direction of Rafael Puente Jr., Lobos ascended and after two tournaments, they lose the category, but alongside Daniel ‘Borita’ Alcantar, who went from being an assistant to taking over as head coach starting from matchday 14.

With José Guadalupe Cruz, Dorados went to the Liga de Ascenso in the Clausura 2016, only two tournaments after knowing what it means to be in the First Division.

In the Clausura 2015, it was Leones Negros de la UdeG's turn, led by Alfonso Sosa, who, like Puente, promoted the team and then sent it back to the lower category a year later.

Necaxa is another team of debut and farewell. In the Clausura 2011, with Sergio Bueno as the head coach, it returned from where it came.

It took Querétaro 12 years to return to the top division, but in 12 months, they lost their category. This happened in the Clausura 2007.

Pachuca had not yet become a top division team when, after promoting in the Invierno 1996, it descended in the Verano 97.
