iPhone SE 2 to be launched in May
The second generation of iPhone SE would arrive in May according to the specialized Japanese website Macotakara. In its latest report, it confirms that the new Apple smartphone will have an A10 Fusion processor, will maintain the Touch ID fingerprint reader, and will eliminate the headphone 'Jack' port.
Apple has not made any announcement about this yet, but if the latter is true, the company would stop selling phones with headphone jacks in September: iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. This can be a strategy by Apple to force users to buy AirPods.
The iPhone SE 2 with these mentioned characteristics would become the four-inch version of the iPhone 7. It would have the same processor and similar manufacturing materials. The glass for the back part would be discarded because it would not have wireless charging.
Specialized media agree on technical specifications but differ on the release date. Some have scheduled it for August while others believe that Apple would launch this device in May or June. But it is most likely that the iPhone SE 2 will arrive during the WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference).
