Surprise in Bolivia. Mauricio Soria, coach of the Bolivian national team, was recorded assaulting a young man in the city of Cochabamba. He grabbed him by the neck, pressed him against a metal pole, and punched him in the back of the head. That person turned out to be one of his workers, who was responsible for washing his car and performing other household tasks.
According to the Bolivian coach, he reacted in that way after his worker, named Manuel Talami, responded with some vulgar words after receiving a reprimand from him for washing his car with the windows open. Soria stated that Talami threatened him and responded aggressively, so he decided to tell him to leave his house. However, Talami punched him in his left eye and that caused the 51-year-old coach to act as seen in the video.
On the other hand, Talami's version indicates that Soria insulted him when he reprimanded him for not washing the car properly, which he claims he did not know how to do. According to him, the Bolivian coach told him that 'he could speak to him however he wanted because he was a piece of sh*t employee' and proceeded to expel him from his home. And just as he was about to leave Soria's house, he was attacked from behind and that's when he responded with a punch to the face of the former Blooming player.
For now, there has not been an official statement from the Bolivian National Team regarding this matter, so it seems that they will not terminate Soria's contract due to this incident.
