Arturo Vidal will undergo a minor operation on his right knee, so he will not be able to play with Bayern Munich in the upcoming matches.
Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes confirmed this on Monday during the club's press conference, where he recalled that the injury occurred during Sunday's training.
"I spoke with doctor (Hans Wilhlem) Müller-Wohlfahrt. He had an MRI. Arturo has loose body in his knee that prevents him from straightening his leg," said Heynckes.
Vidal, according to Heynckes, has gone to a clinic in Augsburg where he will undergo an arthroscopy performed by orthopedic surgeon Ulrich Boenisch.
"Arturo will definitely be out for the next matches," said Heynckes.
Vidal will be absent tomorrow in the semifinal match of the German Cup against Bayer Leverkusen, probably also on Saturday in the Bundesliga against Hannover and next week against Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals.
