During a ceremony this morning unveiling a statue of Bob Stoops, OU President David Boren appeared to have a medical emergency.
He was attended to by paramedics and taken away from the ceremony on a stretcher, giving the crowd a thumbs up. OU athletic director Joe Castiglione said the move was a cautionary one. The ceremony, part of today's spring game festivities, was brought to an end shortly after Boren was taken away.
Boren, 77, was in the hospital for a week after undergoing heart bypass surgery in March of 2017. He retires as OU president on June 30.
