The members of the Chivas team have raised their voices in a tone of dissatisfaction over the non-compliance of their board's promises, and fear that their demands will not be enforced due to the agreements reached with the Rebaño's leadership being solely verbal and lacking signed backing between the parties.

One of the first alternatives that the players of the Guadalajara team sought at the time, was the support of the Mexican Association of Professional Soccer Players (AMFPro), in which Carlos Salcido, the team's captain, is one of the members. The purpose of seeking the association's support was to find assistance in being able to collect what was agreed upon.

The formal response that the Chivas players found in the players' union was that the only support they can provide is moral support, since there is no established contract where the Guadalajara management committed to pay bonuses and premiums, there is no way for AMFPro to proceed as it should.

Sources close to the rojiblancos group of players confirmed that the board committed to these bonuses, "but it was all a verbal agreement" and no document was ever signed to protect themselves against any anomaly.

For now, the members of the Guadalajara team are unprotected, at least legally. They only have to continue pressuring and wait for their respective bank accounts, and trust that the leadership of Guadalajara will fulfill what was promised at the time, that is, the payment of a sum close to three million pesos (165,000 dollars) to each of the players.
