Alianza Lima goalkeeper Leao Butrón returns from injury
On Thursday, at the end of the Alianza Lima practice, Leao Butrón went to the medical department. He completed the thigh strengthening session and received medical clearance, so he can start in Sporting Cristal match on Saturday.
On March 1st, while playing against Boca in the Copa Libertadores, the goalkeeper had to leave the field at 31 minutes due to a discomfort in the anterior area of his right thigh. After a magnetic resonance imaging, it was confirmed that he had a tear and needed four weeks of rest.

The estimated recovery time has been completed and the Alianza Lima doctor has given the green light for him to return to the field. "No player is injured, Butrón has trained normally with the rest of the goalkeepers and has been called to concentrate with the rest of the team for the Sporting Cristal match," Hugo Blácido declared on the La Cátedra program.
On the other hand, Leao explained to Depor that he is fully recovered and eager to play. "Today I will have my final review in the medical department. I am ready to be in the match against Cristal," he assured.
He also congratulated and thanked Daniel Prieto for his work in goal during his absence and wishes him a great career. "Alianza Lima has good goalkeepers. Daniel will be the future goalkeeper of the team," he concluded. Now, the ball is in his hands.
