Rome, Italy. AFP.- Lazio defeats Salzburg in the Europa League quarterfinals

Lazio defeated Salzburg 4-2 in the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinals, held on Thursday in Rome, but the tie is still open for next week's second leg.

The Italians took the lead twice, with goals from Bosnian Senad Lulic (8) and Marco Parolo (49), and the Austrians responded with goals from Norwegian Valon Berisha (30, penalty) and Japanese Takumi Minamino (71).

In the final stretch, the Romans secured the final advantage with goals from Brazilian Felipe Anderson (74) and Ciro Immobile (76).

The second leg will be held in Salzburg next Thursday.
