With his kids out on the course as his caddies, Tony Finau made a hole-in-one on the seventh hole of the Par-3 Contest and then appeared to twist his ankle running backward — much to the golf world's dismay.

On Wednesday night Finau tweeted he was "optimistic" about playing.

The 28-year-old won his first PGA Tour event in 2016, and by all accounts has a bright future on the tour. Ranked No. 34 in the world, Finau will play in his first Masters starting Thursday, assuming he's OK.

He stayed for the end of the Par-3 Wednesday, which he presumably wouldn't have done had it been seriously hurting. According to AP, Finau left the course on a golf cart.
