Juanele

has been sentenced to five months in prison and three years of probation consisting of outpatient medical treatment for his psychiatric disorder for hitting his ex-partner with a baseball bat.

The sentence handed down by the Court of Criminal Number 2 of Gijón

after the fast trial held last Tuesday also imposes a prohibition on approaching his ex-partner within 500 meters for three years.

The events for which Juanele has been convicted occurred on June 2nd when the former soccer player, after consuming alcoholic beverages, went to the hair salon owned by his ex-partner and assaulted her with a baseball bat in the presence of her eight-year-old daughter.

The ruling acknowledges that Juanele suffers from dual pathology with a coexistence of alcohol dependence disorder and emotional instability personality disorder of impulsive type and confirmed bipolar disorder in 2007, therefore he has recognized permanent disability.
