About Floyd Mayweather's Retirement

A couple of years ago, Floyd Mayweather asserted that he would never have enough money to feel satisfied. However, now the boxer has reconsidered this statement and has decided to prioritize his health over his fortune.

Although he would love to surpass Rocky Marciano's record of 49-0, Floyd Mayweather claims that his well-being matters more to him. "I could earn much more money, but I still want to be able to speak and walk without issues. My legacy will not be affected. I am retiring at the peak of my career and, most importantly, with my faculties intact," he said.

Floyd Mayweather doesn't want to end up with the same fate as his father and uncles, his trainers. Floyd Snr. and Roger Mayweather have motor difficulties after a long career in professional boxing.

Floyd Mayweather is retiring having achieved his goals. "I have done a lot for this sport. Previously, the focus was on the heavyweights, but I have worked hard to ensure that other weight classes also receive the attention they deserve. I am ready to be on the other side of the ring," he concluded.

Fun Fact: Floyd Mayweather will fight for the last time on September 12 against Andre Berto in Las Vegas.
