Claudio Puelles returns to the octagon on May 19th after recovering from an injury in his left knee that kept him out of action for an extended period of time, confirmed the Combate portal.
The Peruvian fighter will face Brazilian Felipe Silva in the lightweight division (70 kg) on the card being organized by UFC in the city of Santiago, Chile.
Puelles (7-2) made his UFC debut in November 2016 with a loss against Mexican Martín Bravo in Mexico City. After that, the 'Niño' remained out of action due to the aforementioned injury.
On the other hand, Silva (8-1) had his last appearance in UFC against Mairbek Taisumov at UFC Fight Night 115 where he fell by KO in the first round.
