MMA Fighter Claudio Puelles Returns to the Octagon to Face Brazilian Felipe Silva at UFC Chile

Peruvian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Claudio Puelles is returning to the octagon to face Brazilian Felipe Silva at the upcoming UFC Chile event on May 19, as reported by El Comercio sources.

This afternoon, on their official website, UFC confirmed this lightweight (70 kg) fight. Claudio Puelles, 21 years old, was a finalist on the third season of the reality show "The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) Latin America".

Last year, the Peruvian fighter was scheduled to fight against American Sage Northcutt, but he had to withdraw due to a left knee injury.

El Comercio also found out that the 'Niño' - whose professional record is eight wins and two losses - is training normally and is fully recovered.

"I have been training. I haven't talked much, but I will show how much I have improved. I feel very prepared and I promise a victory for Peru," said Claudio Puelles to this newspaper.

Silva, 33 years old, has a professional MMA record of eight wins and one loss. In his last fight, in September last year at UFC, he was knocked out by Mairbek Taisumov in the first round.
