MONTERREY -- Tigres players, Jürgen Damm and Javier Aquino, continue with their rehabilitation at the Universitario Stadium after being dropped from the Mexican National Team for the March FIFA matches.
Both players left the national team's camp and returned to Monterrey after experiencing discomfort in the groin. The severity of the injury is still unknown, so they will be evaluated by the medical staff of Club Tigres on Thursday.
Although it was initially announced that both players could return to the United States for the match against Croatia, coach Ricardo Ferretti said it would not be possible, as both players run the risk of missing the Week 13 match of the Clausura 2018 when Tigres hosts León on Saturday, March 31.
The Tigres squad will play two friendly matches in the United States in the coming days, which is why Jürgen Damm and Javier Aquino are training alongside Francisco Meza, Luis Rodríguez, and André-Pierre Gignac, who did not travel with the team.
