Pacquiao Named Colonel in the Philippines
While the next fight for Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao has yet to be determined due to problems with his promoter, he was named Colonel in his country.
Through his Twitter account, the boxer posted a series of photographs in which he is accompanied by his family:
Being promoted to full pledge Colonel. Thank you to President Duterte, my wife Jinkee and my son Michael for all the support. #Godisgood 🇵🇭 pic.twitter.com/aQeIvBP5IP

Being named Colonel is the highest military rank of superiors in armies and is generally the immediate superior to the Lieutenant Colonel.
Furthermore, the Filipino had announced a fight against Argentine Lucas Matthysse for the Welterweight title of the World Boxing Association to be held on June 24 in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, but promoter Bob Arum assured that they have not reached an agreement for the fight.
