MEXICO -- This Monday the future of Alexi Gómez with Atlas will be defined, as the club's legal team considers options to continue with the Peruvian, sources informed ESPN Digital.
After determining that he would not be focused on the match last Friday against Puebla, now the decision is that he be separated from the first team while legal action is taken that could definitively remove him from the club.
Sources close to the team assured ESPN Digital that the player still belongs to the institution, however, his situation could change at any moment if they find sufficient reason to definitively remove him.
The problem for Alexi Gómez arose because he was photographed playing a Football 7 match in Guadalajara, allegedly one night before the match against Puebla, wearing the uniform of Bayern Munich from Germany, while fans of the team looked at him strangely, since the player should be protected from any situation that could cause an injury.
The message to the players is that they must understand what they are playing for in the team, and therefore no similar act to the one carried out by Gómez will be allowed.
