MEXICO -- Coaching sessions for Cruz Azul players will be dosed "according to the results that are obtained," said a member of the celestial club after the training of the Machine in La Noria.
The players' environment is calm and placid after a week of specialized mental work with Bernardo Angulo and the surprising victory over Pachuca (5-0) on Saturday.
This Monday, upon the return of the squad to training in La Noria, there was a special atmosphere, nothing like other Mondays that were preceded by bad results.
The board of directors, led by Guillermo Álvarez Cuevas, confirmed that psychological support is a great help, but they consider that the players should not be overwhelmed with coaching sessions. Hence, only two sessions are scheduled for this week prior to the match of Round 12 against Pumas at the Azul Stadium.
This Monday, the players arrived at 8:00 AM with the goal of having breakfast as a group from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM. For those who did not play against Pachuca, practice started after 10:00 AM, while those who had activity went out to the field at a quarter to 11. They then had lunch together at 12:30 PM and finally left for home.
The practice was light, more of a regenerative nature, with rigorous physical work, shots at goal, and a scrimmage.
Chilean player Enzo Roco, who did not finish Saturday's match due to a muscle discomfort, trained without any problems.
