Passion and Social Media Generate Death Threats Against Pumas Player Marcelo Diaz

Once again, the overflowing passion combined with the free use of social media generated an embarrassing situation surrounding Pumas midfielder Marcelo Diaz, whose daughter was threatened with death by a user who blamed him for the own-goal he scored in Pumas' defeat against Toluca.

"Because of you, I lost 300 thousand pesos in a bet, you stupid idiot. You ugly shit, I'm going to kill your daughter..." said Instagram user Lukas Roiss.

The Chilean player exploded on his Twitter account and immediately defended his family.

"You can criticize me, you can insult me, but nobody messes with my children, and I would give my life for them. So, I hope to meet you soon, you motherfucker," wrote the former Celta de Vigo player, accompanied by the messages he received.
