Third Edition of the Sky Challenge Bike Cycling Race
With the participation of 500 runners from different parts of the country and abroad, the Third Edition of the Sky Challenge Bike Cycling Race will be held on March 18th starting at 8:30am in Chalchicomula de Sesma municipality. The challenge will be to compete for the first place at 4,600 meters above sea level.
Details of the Race
Gilbert Solliman, president of the organizing committee, revealed the details of the competition. He emphasized that the race will have a distance of 30 kilometers in different categories, ranging from the youngest to the most veteran cyclists, with the intention of promoting the sport at all levels.
"It is an effort, but it is more passion, heart for cycling that we all love. We always want to do it well, that is why the events we organize are the most well-known in Mexico, the most serious, honest. That is why many cyclists come with us. We have the support of the authorities. We hope this project grows because sports projects include tourism, job creation, and more. Sky Channel is charming because of the landscape, because in few places in Mexico you can see this. It is like the Alps of Europe. It will be a unique weekend," said Solliman.
Increase in Participants
Solliman mentioned that after the previous two races, they decided to increase the number of competitors due to the positive response they have received from cyclists throughout the country. They have expressed their satisfaction with participating in this competition and they are hoping to soon close the registrations.
"It is a challenge. Many want to repeat because lowering a minute is a lot. It is very tough to reach the top. It is thirty kilometers of sacrifice. There will be supplies, an ambulance, everything ready for the cyclist to go and return safely," added Solliman.
Registration
Registrations will remain open for those interested in participating, with various packages available according to the competitor's budget. They can be done through the official social media channels of the race.
