Not rare for the 'Big' or 'Popular' teams to fill the stadiums
It is not rare for the teams called 'Big' or 'Popular' in Mexican soccer to fill the stadiums whenever they play away matches, both in the First Division stadiums and the Ascenso League venues.
The Club América consistently maintains high attendance
The Club América, one of the 'Big Four' teams, has consistently maintained high attendance in every venue they have visited this tournament, including their visit to Ciudad Universitaria, which has resulted in the highest attendance so far in the Clausura 2018.
Filled to the brim
Gallos Blancos' highest attendance was in Matchday 1, when they received América with 31,432 fans. Since then, La Corregidora did not have spectacular attendance again until Matchday 7, when they played against Chivas and had 29,479 fans in attendance.
Pumas vs. América, currently the highest attended match
The match between Pumas and América, so far, has had the highest attendance in the Clausura 2018, with 45,980 fans at CU. This surpassed the 43,825 fans that attended the previous match against Chivas, also at the same venue.
Tigres consistently have the highest attendance
Every time Tigres play at home, they have the highest attendance in their respective matchday. However, the match against América in Matchday 6 broke their own record so far in the season, with 41,478 fans in attendance.
Veracruz struggles to fill their stadium
Veracruz, currently fighting to avoid last place in the relegation table, has struggled to attract support from their fans. Their best attendance is around 17,000 fans, with the exception of Matchday 8 against América, where they had 26,800 fans at the Pirata Fuente stadium.
Last season
During the Apertura 2017, América had varied attendance in their away matches. The highest attendance was in Matchday 15, when they visited Monterrey and had 51,507 fans at the Estadio BBVA Bancomer. On the other hand, the lowest attendance was in Matchday 5 against Lobos BUAP.
Note: These attendance numbers are proportional to the capacity of each stadium, the number of season ticket holders or allocated tickets for opposing fans, and factors like resale tickets.
