The Ecuadorian midfielder, Michael Arroyo, will not be part of the Barcelona SC squad that will face General Díaz from Paraguay on Tuesday, in the match for the Copa Sudamericana.
The player is experiencing a muscular discomfort due to the intense work he has been doing to reach the same level as his teammates. The former player of Gremio de Porto Alegre agreed to join the "canarios" when the preseason had already finished, so he could not be part of it.
"This physical discomfort is because I worked double and triple shifts, so my muscle got overloaded. To prevent it from becoming chronic, we decided to stay out of the first match (vs U.Católica) and also the one in the Copa Sudamericana," Arroyo said in statements to the press.
The match between BSC and General Díaz will start at 19:30 at the Monumental stadium. (D)
