Puebla aims for victory against Cruz Azul

The Puebla de La Franja team heads to the Estadio Azul this Saturday afternoon at 17:00 in search of their first away victory. They will face the Máquina Celeste of Cruz Azul in the continuation of Round 8 of the Clausura 2018 in the Liga MX.

The Camoteros leave the protective coverage of the Estadio Cuauhtémoc, where last Wednesday they defeated the Diablos Rojos del Toluca 2-0 thanks to a double by the Argentinian-Canadian Lucas Cavallini. This performance helped them neutralize a strong opponent like the team from Mexico City.

On the other hand, Pedro Caixinha's team returns to the capital to build on the point they earned in their visit to the Rayados del Monterrey. Despite facing a seemingly inevitable defeat, the Cementeros managed to salvage a 2-2 draw in the closing stages, leaving them hungry for more.

The Blue Machine and the White-Blues recently faced each other twice in the Copa MX, with each team winning on the opponent's turf. However, the most recent league encounter dates back to September 8th when they settled for a goalless draw in Puebla.

The stats seem to favor Enrique "El Ojitos" Meza's team, as in the last six matches between Puebla and Cruz Azul, the capital's team has failed to defeat their opponents. Puebla has not accumulated any points away from home so far in the season.

Cruz Azul has already gone four consecutive games without scoring at the Estadio Azul, while Puebla has failed to win in their last eight away matches. Therefore, there is no clear favorite and the result is uncertain.
