Alianza Lima could have suffered the first goal against in their visit to Ayacucho. But Daniel Prieto appeared with a remarkable intervention at 35 minutes of the first half, after shots taken by Mauricio Montes, in a collective play with Robert Ardiles.
In their attempt to counterattack, Alianza Lima was caught off guard and Ayacucho took advantage of the sides to undermine the rival defense. This is how the locals filtered a ball through Ardiles.
After Ardiles' good pass behind the Alianza Lima defenders, Montes received and took a shot, but didn't punish Prieto. The goalkeeper was well positioned and prevented the first goal against the 'grones'.
Finally, Alianza Lima closed the first half with a goal in their favor. Janio Posito scored with a header, to fill the Pablo Bengoechea team with motivation, who drew in their debut in the Torneo de Verano.
