America de Cali fell short of achieving a perfect score this Saturday, drawing 1-1 against Deportes Tolima in the second round of the 2018 Liga Aguila at the Olympic Stadium Pascual Guerrero.
Carmelo Valencia opened the scoring for America de Cali in the 12th minute of the first half. Just when it seemed that the home team would secure the victory, Tolima reacted and equalized through Sebastian Villa in the 72nd minute.
With this result, America de Cali earned four points and moved up to second place in the standings, pending the completion of the round. Tolima, on the other hand, earned their first point after their defeat against Atletico Nacional in their debut at home.
