Newell's will sell contribution bonds today, at their stadium and before the match against Colón for the 15th round of the Superliga, for 50 pesos to help with the difficult economic situation of their former player Julio Zamora. The former footballer, who emerged from the club, is on the verge of bankruptcy due to a debt of 20,000 dollars contracted with a medical center in Bolivia, after his hospitalization last November following a stroke (ACV).

"I'm alive but with nothing, what I earned in football, I lost", Zamora admitted a few days ago before breaking down in tears during a press conference he offered in Bolivia, as reported by the newspaper Los Tiempos, from Cochabamba. The former footballer, 51 years old, was working as a coach for Real Potosí in Bolivia when he had a breakdown in mid-November last year, and it was later confirmed that it was a stroke.

Zamora stayed in a private health center for almost a month with financial assistance from Newell's and also from Cruz Azul, a Mexican team he also played for.

The former player must pay off a debt of $20,000 to the health center before February 11, as the club he was coaching, Real Potosí, did not take responsibility for the recovery expenses. "We are seeking advice from FIFA lawyers to know the steps to follow, as it is unfair what the club did to us because my dad was working", commented Brian Zamora, one of the former footballer's two sons.
